Kandinsky's Improvisations

This series applies Kandinsky's circle vocabulary to surfaces that were never meant to hold paintings: wood cylinders, gum tin lids, and found objects with their own histories.

Some pieces are structural and counted (by seasons, hours), while others are intuitive and gathered, all working within my own color language to explore what these humble materials can carry.

Oana Gamlowski:Four Seasons for Kandinsky. Spring opens in high-key brights. Summer deepens into warmth. Autumn shifts to earth and ember. Winter resolves in cool jewel tones. Thirteen weeks in each season, thirteen lucky ways to make color sing, and warming up these gum tin lids to a second life.

Oana Gamlowski: Four Movements for a Day in Kandinsky's style. Counting the hours of the day, grouped the way I live them, coloring each one with the hues it deserves, so they each sing on their own, and together, dance. Giving these gum tin lids to a second life.
